An earthquake of 8.7 magnitude struck off the coast of Indonesia on
Wednesday, sending residents there and in India dashing out of their
homes and offices in fear. A tsunami warning was issued for the whole
Indian Ocean.
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issues estimated time for Tsunami: Tsunami likely to hit Little Andaman at 15:46 IST, Port Blair at 16:02 IST, North Andaman at 16:22 IST, Chennai at 16:57 IST, Kakinada at 17:35 IST, Trivandrum at 17:38 IST, Mangalore at 19:06 IST, Bombay at 21:38 IST, Gulf of Kutch 22:04 IST.
❖Tremors felt in Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag, Patna, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar and several other cities on the eastern coast of India & Andaman-Nicobar Islands.hope everyone is safe..
❖Tsunami hits Andaman in next 15 minutes as predicted, it will hit east coast of India around 4.50PM in Tamilnadu, Chennai around 4.57PM and in next one hour rest of east coast. Pray there is no Tsunami!
